Football Player with a few alterations…
I myself have been through many breakups, but in the end, I knew that everything would be just fine. Now that I look back at those breakups, which seemed so harsh at the time, they do not mean anything to me because I am happily married.
You too will be happily married one day and those breakup blues you are suffering from right now will be nothing. Below, I am going to give you 10 ways to overcome a breakup quickly. Many of these things are what I did in order to get over that guy…
This is something that you are going to do at first, so just go ahead and cry. Get it all out. There is nothing wrong with crying. This is only you letting out your emotions. During this time, scream at the universe, do anything to get it off of your chest…
Go shopping and have a manicure. Shopping and treating myself out always seemed to get those problems off of my mind. You do not have to buy much, if you do not have much money at the time, then just buy a simple outfit or a shirt that you think is cute. If you have some extra cash, then treat yourself out to your favorite restaurant. (Avoid any restaurant you went to on a date.)
I know that it sounds like a good idea to try to substitute that relationship with another, but this is definitely not what you need. It will lead you to nowhere except even more hurt when you snap out of it and find that you do not like the “rebound” guy or girl. Save the other from being hurt…
Surely there are good things that are going on in your life, so focus on that silver lining. Perhaps you are about to have a birthday party? You got a new car for your birthday? Whatever it is, focus on it…
Do you have a pet? It is a known fact that pets help relieve stress. Hug up on your pet as that is what they are there for. Dogs sense when you are sad and will try their best to make you happy. Even if you have an iguana or bearded dragon, let him/her sit on your lap and talk. That’s right, those pets will listen to everything you have to say. I have found that pets are very good listeners…
Instead of sitting at home thinking about that lost relationship, go out and do good things for others. Volunteering at the local animal shelter, homeless shelter or anything else that helps someone would help to relieve that sadness that you have inside…
This is a great tip for girls. This can include something as simple as a touchup or something as drastic as dying your hair. When you have done this, look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that this is the new you and you have moved on…
Any pictures of the ex boyfriend or girlfriend that you have. This way, you do not have to look at them ever again. If you want to be even more rebellious, then rip the picture up into little bitty places. Take your anger out as you are doing this. Tell yourself that when that picture is ripped up, you will move on…
Sometimes, going out with your friends and spending time with others is the best way to get over those breakup blues.
When you see your ex in the same room as you, act as if you do not care about the breakup. Don’t let him or her see that it is bothering you. In no time, this will come natural and you will find that you are completely over your ex.

Amy Michaelson is my favorite Bridal designer of all time. Her dresses are always flattering, sexy, girlie and romantic =)
Plunging, intricate backs have always been her thing, and this season, Amy Michelson knocked it out of the park. I’ve always thought that one of the sexiest parts on a woman is her back, and Michelson’s Spring 2010 wedding dresses frame, highlight and showcase these feminine curves.
We’ve already talked about the big Spring 2010 runway trends, and Amy Michelson incorporated some of these into her collection with style and grace. For the flower appliques, Michelson got creative and used beautiful feathers- like the large feather sunflower (left) and the small feather lily flowers (right) above.
Another thing I love about this collection is the generous use of lace throughout- mermaid lace was used to craft the bodice of the Ariel, and used head-to-toe for the gorgeous Corsage wedding dress. The Love Me Tender gown is one of my favorites, complete with lover’s lace, organza roses, and feathers.
Don’t you just love this collection? Which creation is your favorite?
The internet is a huge shopping mall and jewelry is one of the most popular items purchased. This may surprise you but there is a very simple reason for it – online jewelry merchants don’t have any overheads to cover rental so they can sell items at a cheaper price than an actual store.
So you can find an engagement ring with a much more agreeable price tag! There is also the convenience of buying online, why spend a whole day trawling the shops in the rain when you can type in exactly what you are looking for and within seconds have an entire range fitting your requirements right in front of you. So you have window web-shopped and now you think you found ‘the one’? With a few clicks it will be on its way to your doorstep! Couldn’t be easier!
But is it safe? What happens if it gets lost in the post? How can you be sure it’s a real diamond? What if you change your mind? Don’t panic, there are a number of ways to ensure the whole process runs smoothly. Below is a checklist of important points you need to be satisfied with before ordering. Take your time to find your perfect ring – it’s for life after all! Good luck!
The first thing you should do is find a reputable online jeweler. Do some research online to find a long standing, company. Even better if you can find one with some credentials, for example Forbes magazine have listed Blue Nile as the best online jeweler for several years running. If you use Google to search the first few listings in your results will be the most popular companies who have been around the longest, and so are likely to be more reliable.
Once you have a found a company you are interested in ordering from, conduct an internet search for feedback from their customers. Check for any negative statements or positive reviews. There may even be a forum on the company’s website where customers can voice their views. This will tell you a lot about the service you should expect to receive from the company. Don’t be scared to ask questions on the forum, if people have had a bad experience they want to share the story to make others aware.
You need to know what you are buying. Whether it’s gold, silver or diamonds there are various grades and if you have done your homework you are less likely to be fooled into buying fake jewelry online. Search the internet for information, there’s lots of sites that will explain in simple terms.
If you have spotted your dream ring on an online jewelry store but you’re hesitant to make the purchase, call their 800 number and have a chat with a customer service advisor to ensure they reliably provide support and service.
All expensive purchases should be shipped by an insured carrier. Make sure your ring will be sent to you by Fed Ex so it is insured and guaranteed.
Check the company’s return policy and make sure you have it in writing – from the website is enough. Sometimes products sold on the internet look very different in reality, so you should check if you can return the ring if you’re not pleased with how it looks. Also check how many days you have to return the ring and if there is any charge?
If your chosen ring has diamonds make sure the jeweler can provide a certificate of authenticity.
Make sure the photos of the product are clear and are taken from different angles. A trustworthy jeweler will want customers to see their products in all their glory. Check your ring size beforehand, so you know what size to order.
Does the product description include colors, measurements and materials? There should be adequate details about the ring you are interested in so you imagine how it will look. Check details such as stone type, stone cut and setting choices. If there’s anything you are unsure about regarding the ring or the ordering process check in advance with the company as it will save you time and money shipping the ring back if you aren’t satisfied. You can also find out the company’s level of customer service, based on how well they deal with your enquiries.
Finally compare prices. As there are so many online merchants, if you take time you can find the most competitive price by shopping around.

Good morning all and happy Sunday! If you are looking for some news that is both chic and cheap (or at least cheaper than), I’m happy to report I have some. I’ve been talking to H&M about the new Jimmy Choo collection. From the last post, I heard from many readers that you are excited about the items, but curious about the prices. So good news! I have new images of the clothes, accessories, bags and shoes plus their prices. Best of all, the prices are listed for you in British Pounds (GBP), US dollars and Euros. So here are some of the items along with the budgetary guidelines, er prices :). After all, today’s savvy shopper (you) needs to know how much each one will cost you at your local H&M store on Nov. 14th. My favorite item, so far, is the beaded little black dress pictured above. I’m looking at cost per wear on this one, figuring I could wear this several times in Nov/Dec for holiday parties plus and on into New Year’s to help defray the $200.00 USD price tag.
Following are a few more of the items with prices to help you make informed decisions.
For women, the clothes collection has a gloss goth feel with one-shoulder dresses, jumpsuits, leather leggings and dresses covered in crystals, emphasized by sequined cardigans and embroidered tops.
Women’s Shoes, Bags and Accessories
The women’s shoes are complemented by accessories, evening clutches and larger day bags, which are studded or fringed. Belts are studded and wide, or long enough for a triple wrap. The collection also features choker necklaces, bracelets, cuffs and earrings to compliment the shoes. Following are some of the handbags and shoes with the prices.
But wait, there’s more. There is menswear too. Here is a sneak peak at some of the stuff for men. Since men are always in the minority at the H&M lines, I expect girlfriends and wives to queue up for this stuff to give as gifts. For men, there will be a selection of ankle boots and bags, as well as a wardrobe of wool blazers, leather biker jackets, silk and cashmere mix sweaters, shirts and trousers.
Heidi Klum is already the host to a widely popular show, has had a jewelry line, mothers four children, is happily married, models for Victoria’s Secret AND is now launching a new fashion line. The line will begin with 48 styles of shoes and eventually expand to clothing, maternity wear and (of course) swin suits.

Engagement photo sessions are a great way to get to know your photographer and feel comfortable with them. Your wedding is stressful enough, so check out these sexy engagement shots to learn five ways to have fun and relax with your photographer before the big day.
Fall in love with the season and each other all over again as you lay in the leaves in your cute coats and scarfs. With the photographer getting this close your bound to get comfortable, so remember to be yourself and have a good time with the photo shoot. Throw some leaves around, play football, and capture the landscapes of autumn for your fall wedding save the dates.
Do you both have pets that you love with all your hearts and would do anything for? Why not include them in your engagement shoot to make for one adorable family portrait! Head over to the dog park with their favorite toys to get the perfect picture. Make it easy on your pets to feel comfortable; don’t play dress up if they don’t like it.
What hobbies do you enjoy, where was your first date? If you like the aquarium like this cute couple, spend the day taking photos among the fish and other aquatic animals. I would love to take an engagement photo session at the polar bear and penguin exhibit.
I just love bathtub engagement photos; they’re sexy, classy, and romantic, which is everything I want for our engagement pictures. Home is where we feel most comfortable and it’s where we built the relationship. Home is the perfect place for any couple.
Vintage, carnival rides, love…what more do you need? This vintage look reminds me of the carnival scene in The Notebook where Noah first meets Allie and soon after their love begins to grow. Win me a big stuffed teddy bear and let the fun begin. Are you a carnival couple?

Last week was Bridal Market Week in New York and while from Australia we had to make do with pictures, what brilliant pictures there were! I can’t possibly share all of the gowns that I loved, but here are more than a few (I have no doubt it will keep me going on what has become couture Mondays for quite a while!)
There was so much beautiful texture in the gowns this year- ruffles and layers and feathers, oh my! (and who was that person that predicted the return of gloves?)

Row One: The fabric in this frock by Neige is beyond gorgeous and is perfect paired with a cozy cardigan. And oh my goodness, the little gems adorning the Tartine et Chocolat dress is so ideal for adding a little glam without being over-the-top. How wonderful is the pleating in Neige’s peacock hued dress? This flower girl dress would be perfect if your maids are also wearing jeweled tones.
Row Two: Ok, this is my all time favorite dress here today. Dagmar Daley toole with linen in the most perfect way-I can’t think of a better way to add a touch of whimsy to your bridal party. Eco-chic designer Whitten Grey created one precious dress that could easily be worn at a casual day-time affair. Il Gufo’s perfectly tailored silhouette and intricate details conjures up images of little clouds. Each one is completely heavenly and absolutely wearable beyond the big day.
Row Three: J. Crew ‘s drop waist flower girl dress is too perfect for a rustic wedding, but if your look is more romantic than rustic, J. Crew has the solution in crushed silk. Ses Petits Mains is oh, so Parisian and just the thing for an understated but charming look. J’aime!
Row One: I was so excited to come across this cute little frock from Lilly Pulitzer -perfectly feminine and just adorable as a flower girl dress. I couldn’t resist the layers of frills in J. Crew’s little frock – so cute! For a more tailored look with a lot of charm, Chloe brings on the couture in subtle tones ideal for little flower girls.
Row Two: Mariella Ferrari’s two toned dress is a beautiful choice if you are craving a little tradition for your girl. For the more grown up flower girl, Un Deux Trois has the ideal shift that will for sure be worn again well after her debut. And the Florence Eiseman dress is all about the to-die-for fabric and subtle detailing around the bodice-perfectly timeless.
Row Three: This dress by Us Angels could also work for your Jr. Bridesmaids. The look is fresh and modern without being too trendy. I am so in love with the mod look of Us Angels gold brocade dress. What a great addition to a vintage styled bridal party. Last, but certainly not least is my personal fav of Priscilla Of Boston’s flower girl dresses. I am loving the drop waist that is showing up in several flower girl styles these days and Priscilla’s design is a perfect rendition.
Row One: Jenny Yoo’s Annabella Dress might just be the perfect marriage of traditional and modern design resulting in one precious flower girl dress. Not only is the hue of Annie Girl’s Clarissa Dress perfect, but the silhouette is simply divine. Dessy’s basic flower girl dress is the perfect blank canvas to adorn with broaches, flowers, or a monogrammed sash. All classic, all adorable.
Row Two: The very classic, very simple Sweet Kids dress is anything but standard with its layers of texture enhancing the timeless shape. Shelley George’s Peanut Butter Dress is a perfect choice for a demure look. Annie Girl brings the concept of dress up to life with her ingenious little site. Here, brides can pick and choose the perfect sash and flower resulting in your ideal flower girl dress.
Row Three: Watters adds a touch of sweetness to the classic flower girl silhouette-perfect for any upscale daytime affair. Not just for the bridesmaids, Simple Silhouettes has adorable dresses for the younger gals too in vibrant colors and designs-I just love this one. The Briar Patch has a precious tutu inspired gown for more whimsical weddings. So many cute classic styles, how can one ever choose?
In honor of Bridal Mart a few weeks ago…
Walking into the Haute Bride suite at Bridal Market, I felt like I could close my eyes and throw a dart at any three necklaces/bracelets/earrings, and be beyond happy to wear them all together. It was definitely hard to decide which pieces to take pics of to post, so I took a LOT of pictures, and I hope you enjoy them! I love that they’re San Francisco based, because most bridal shops are based out of New York.
Their bracelets are so, so recognizable! I could spot a Haute Bride bracelet from a mile away!
These pieces are definitely my style. I love chunky jewels and oversized pieces!
The pearls on this necklace were a great size… small but not tiny. Most of the jewelry I own (costume, of course!) are some combo of pearls or beads, so I really loved these!
You’ve seen these earlier, but here are those amazing shoe clips again!
There was a lot of inspiring ribbon jewelry at Bridal Market. As soon as I get home I’m going to affix some broaches I have to looooooong ribbons and wear them as headbands, much like this piece below (which could be a necklace, headband, bracelet… anything, I think!).
So many earrings, it was hard to choose which ones to photograph!
Would’ve DEFINITELY loved to have worn this for our wedding:
