So tragic. Died at the young end of 40. 😦
Wore a little more bronzer this weekend with a nude lip. Haven’t worn this beanie in forever so it was a random addition to my Saturday morning ritual.
Paired this outfit with black leggings and boots for the day. For my night look, I put on hot pink Nars lipstick and black booties. ♥
I love relaxed weekend wear!!
Do Engagement Anniversaries really exist??? hahaha *shrug * In my life they do!!! =)
Exactly 1 year ago today~ Markel proposed =) It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving and well…I was BEYOND shocked. I was a zombie all day trying to process it and at night~ Markel threw the BIGGEST surprise party ever. I am so lucky to have found my lobster (Friends reference) and it’s been the most amazing 5.5 year journey~~~
I have the greatest friends in the entire world TOO!! they were all waiting for us at the bar that Markel and I met at with signs, flowers, balloons, and drinks in tow!
1 year ago today was the most magical and fun-filled day. I’ve never been so surprised in my whole life~ and I’m so thankful for Markel, my family, his family and all of our friends.
I ordered these two vests from Forever 21 and they were fails. 😦 The material was cheap and the fit was weird… I wish I had another size in each to compare it…but these were still not good choices.
Im still hunting for the perfect faux fur vest, jacket or neck scarf~ so if you know of any, please let me know!
I’m sure you can tell from this picture below but…I’ve got a LOT of makeup on. =P This is my “going out” routine~~ a heavier hand with everything from my day look (post here) and a nice bright lipstick to top off the look. In this picture below, it’s a rare day that I curled my hair and attempted to style it. Lately it doesn’t want to listen to me…>.< This is also the hair that I dyed light brown & platinum blonde…but was stubborn enough to stay black/brown. *shaking fist *
Markel and I went to his friend’s birthday dinner last Saturday and here’s the makeup from the night. In my younger 20s, I used to wear fake eye lashes to EVERYTHING…but I’ve been getting lazy. Perhaps my next big night I’ll do my signature double lashes look. =P
I bought these earrings in March 2013 and I literally wear them with EVERTHING. They are classy and sassy enough for work and dinners with the girls. ♥
Im a HUGE Kate Spade fan with purses, clothes, shoes…and her jewelry doesn’t disappoint! I tend to have sensitive ears, so a lot of Forever 21 earrings hurt my ears. However, these gorgeous studs don’t irritate my skin at all!
I’ve gotten so many compliments with these earrings~ And the best part? They come in a variety of colors too!!
This tresseme dry shampoo is the best one I’ve ever tried. It has a volumizing component that makes me hair fresh with some body. The other ones I tried soaked up excess oil, but didn’t make my hair shampoo fresh (the body you get after a fresh wash).
I wash my hair every other day to prevent hair loss. The older I get, the straighter and thinner my hair is getting. It’s so weird. So I’ve been taking hair/skin supplements ( 1x per week), prenatal vitamins (1x per week), and only wash my hair every other day. Im hoping it’ll help!! My hair used to be SUPER thick and wavy~ but you would never know it now. 😦
I’ve tried three or four other dry shampoo sprays, but none compare.to this tresseme one! If you’ve never tried one before, definitely get this one!
I was going through my massive jewelry collection last night and found a ton of rings that I either love and dont wear or love and wear…actually, only the bottom left picture are the rings I wear now. But I went through a HUGE ring phase. These above were my favorites out of the 30 or so that I have.
Im not sure if it’s because Im lazier with my fashion these days or not, but I need to start wearing these!
Do you guys still wear huge statement rings? Or is this SOO 2010?
I am fairly obsessed with makeup. I’ve gone through eye shadow phases, lipstick phases and blush phases. Now in my late 20s, I’ve finally figured out a makeup regime that works for me. After watching a million youtube videos and seeing hundreds of girls applying makeup~ I find that no matter what~ I still have my own preferences and style. One that probably doesn’t work for other girls, but what works for my face, my eye shape, and my comforts.
I have a round face, so I prefer to use a heavier hand with bronzer, blush, highlighter. It helps me to shape my face to a round oval and give myself a jawline. Additionally, my monolids have a more slanted almond shape, so I am really particular about my eye makeup & eyebrow shape. Most girls use wingtip or accentuate the almond shape (like when I get my makeup done), but I try to make it a more rainbow shape. lol Does that make any sense?
SOMEDAY…I’ll get to a makeup tutorial about how I prefer to do my own makeup…but for now… here are the products I’m using right now:
Foundation: I am between shades right now, so I mix Revlon Photoready in 004 Nude and 005 Natural Beige
Powder: True Match Powder, W4, Natural Beige
Blush: NARS, Orgasm
Bronzer: Wet N’ Wild Coloricon, 739, Ticket to Brazil
Highlighter: Milani Powder, 02, Light Medium
Eyebrows: Croquise stick in Dark Brown
Lipgloss: Smashbox in Radiant
Mascara: Maybelline Rocket Volum Express in Blackest Black
Eye Shadows: 1. Milani, 15, Golden Touch
2. Bobbi Brown Velvet Plum Eye Palete, color Espresso
Eyeliner: Maybelline Master Drama in Black
This weekend was a nice and long one. It started off a little sad (I was sick) but by the start of Saturday I was feeling normal again.
Thursday night I had a few friends over for some girl time. xoxo It was nice to hang out and catch up~~ Markel went over to our neighbor’s home (and good friends) were the boys watched the Laker game and the girls chatted over pizza, cupcakes, wine and nails.
Friday I was home sick eating soups/Ramen and watching Sons of Anarchy all day. I’m going through Season 4 right now and totally loving it. I heard seasons 5 & 6 aren’t awesome…so I really hope I’m not disappointed after investing so much! But the more I watch…the more I love Charlie Hunnam.
Saturday and Sunday were awesome. Markel and I spent the day running errands, and just spending time together. We RARELY get weekends to ourselves to hang out and try new things.
Saturday we went to downtown LA looking for a suit, but we didn’t feel comfortable buying anything from the stores we went into. The material was obviously cheaper, the deal was $100 for a suit, shirt & tie…but there was a WEIRD feeling that went with it~ so Markel and I ended up leaving. We also shopped in Ktown for groceries b/c we were hosting Markel’s bro, sis-in-law, friend for dinner. We seriously cooked up a huge feast of Korean food and I was so proud of the new things I’m learning to make!
I made pumpkin milkshakes on Saturday. SOO YUMMYYYY
The FEAST =)
Sunday Markel and I ran all over town getting him a new suit from Zara, shoes from Nordstroms and packing for his big trip this weekend. This is Markel’s first business trip and I couldn’t be more proud of him. He works SOOO HARD at his job~ like 60-70 hour weeks~ and it’s all paying off! He’s been getting more responsibilites/projects at work and these business trips are the start to his budding career. =) I love him so much and it’s so much fun to grow together in our careers and as a couple. We met in our early 20s and it’s been a fun ride as we mature, get settled in our careers, and make big decisions for our future. ❤
A toast to ourselves and our lives =P
Shopping in Century City at Zara~ I found so many cute things I wanted!!
Markel Getting a Haircut =) Such a small and random errand to run together, but I love doing them with him. ❤
Sunday Night we met up with Markel’s college friends that are doing BIG things!! Two are starting companies and it’s so exciting to hear about their adventures. Sort of motivates Markel and I to be passionate about our lives and our careers. We ate at Aroma Cafe (an Israeli restaurant) in Hollywood area. It was tastey! The appetizers were my favorite~~
(no pics to share =( I forgot to take some)
AND THENNNN…the best part?? Markel and I met up with our new neighbors (and good friends) to watch THOR at the grove. I always forget how much I love the Grove and how gorgeous it is. The Christmas decorations were all up~ really put you in the holiday spirit! ❤
Andddd Monday I had the day off for Veteran’s Day. =) It’s a day of purging, catching up on SOA (like Friday) and getting my baby ready for his big trip! Oh…and about ten cups of coffee (my fav treat).
HOW BEAUTIFUL is this fall weather??
This picture below is to celebrate Veteran’s day today. My big bro (and true life hero) has been in the Army since 2002. He has fought for his country in Iraq and served for 11 years and counting… I’m so proud of him and his dedication to the protection of this country. ❤ I’m definitely taking a moment today to remember that. xo
I have babies on the brain! With my friends and coworkers getting pregnant around me, I looked at Nordstrom.com and found the most adorable little things!! I’m far from having a baby myself, but these things were SOOO adorable!! I couldn’t resist posting some adorable things I’m in love with for nurseries and baby shower gifts. ❤
