6 Month Anniversary

Can’t believe it’s already our 6 month anni!  I’m not super mushy about celebrating these sorts of things…but then again…it only comes 1x in a life time right?

Here are a few pictures of our life together since 2008 ❤

Love of my life…I’m so glad I grew up with you, lived up my 20s with you and am starting a new fun married/family life with you. ❤

Wedding Pictures (Part V)

Oops, totally forgot to post these from a few months before!  The last and final post of the wedding ❤

The Reception!

This day feels soOOOOoo long ago.  I can’t believe we got married and are currently living a newlywed life…so weird! lol  Feels like yesterday when Markel and I met and were having a blast as early 20-somethings.  But 5+ years later…here we are as a married couple. ❤

To check out the other parts of our wedding…

Markel and Me…5 years in the making~!

I know we’re not supposed to celebrate dating anniversaries once you’re married…but WHATEVER.  haha Isn’t it nice to still celebrate the beginning when it all happened?  Mike and I had a summer fling that turned into…a budding romance and marriage ❤

I think this lovely picture sums up the beginingg of US.

a pic from our first year together…during our skinnier times…lol

Happy Happy Birthday Markel!

Today…my baby turns 27.  CRAZY.  I’ve known him for nearly 5 years now and it’s been an incredibly journey. ❤

Can’t wait for the next 50 years that’s to come! xoxo

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively get Married!!

WOW…this was the LAST news i ever expected to hear this past weekend.  After Ryan’s failed engagement to Alanis Morissette, Failed married to Scarlett Johansson, I genuinely expected that Ryan would slow things down.  However, I genuinely love each of these actors and for that, I hope that they’ll have the best marriage, make beautiful babies and have a long marriage.

Congratulations Ryan and Blake!

More Details from UsWeekly:

Lovebirds Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds tied the knot in a surprise, ultra-private ceremony at at Boone Hill Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina Sunday, a source confirms to Us Weekly.

The couple, for the most part, managed to keep their plans under wraps until this weekend, when members of Lively’s family were spotted around Charleston. Her close pal — and favorite shoe designer — Christian Louboutin also happened to be in the Southern city. “Spotted: @LouboutinWorld in Charleston! Welcomes to the city!” a user by the name of @TheJoshRatliff wrote. (Lively, for her part, told Marie Claire in June that the couture she’s been exposed to in Hollywood has dramatically changed her wedding style plans. “What I planned before I got into the business has changed,” she shared. “Now I’m like, ‘Hmm, I wonder what shoes Christian [Louboutin] is going to make me. And which couture houses should I go to?”) Reynolds and Lively have also traveled back and forth to Charleston several times this past year, adding to speculation that it might be a potential wedding spot.

Though they’ve only been together a year — they met while filming 2011’s The Green Lantern — Lively, 25, and Reynolds, 35, got serious quickly. When they first took their friendship to the next level in Fall 2011, the couple began splitting their weekends between NYC, where Lively was filming Gossip Girl, and Boston, where Reynolds was busy shooting R.I.P.D.

Just six months into their romance, the duo began house hunting together, and ended up purchasing a property in Westchester County, just north of New York City.

“They love getting out of the city and appreciate a slower pace [of life],” a source told Us Weekly at the time of the low-key couple’s decision to relocate.

Labor Day Weekend Recap and Photodump

This ended up being quite the busy weekend!

My entire department did a “Staff Development” day at Chef’s Inc. in West LA and it was so much fun!  The food was phenomenal and well…I can’t wait to try the recipes at home. ❤

 The HAG Group =)

Then at night…we celebrated Hansie’s last night in LA!

Lazy day of brunch, dessert, costco and hanging out with my two besties before Hansela flew home.

For dinner?  Double date with my bestie and her man.  Super adorable night at Sushi Stop on Sawtelle and Boba ❤

Quite the adventure!  Nursery in the morning with Markel (since we were short handed), made Sangria for a wedding, and then went to one of the most amazing and personalized weddings everrrr~~

DAY OF REST!!  Markel and I finished Season 2 of Boardwalk Empire and ordered in Chinese =)

All in all…it was a sweet weekend!!  And the best part of the work week?  It’s a short week!  Friday is JUST around the corner~~

Gabriel Union and Dwayne Wade on the cover of Essence Magazine

I saw this article on and just had to re-post!  I’m in LOVE with this couple and also like how they’re low key.  You rarely hear about them or see them in the media (besides their work).

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade get close on the cover of Essence’s February 2012 issue, on newsstands Thursday (January 12).

In the issue, Dwyane, 29, spoke about the couple’s thoughts on marriage.

“We’re not rushing it. Both of us have been married before, and we understand that if we choose to marry again, we want it to be right. We both took failing at marriage hard. The next time it’s gotta be forever,” he said.
