Fall 2013 Bucket List

Breaking goals up by quarter has help me try to make the most of 3 months.  I like that I can see a short list of items and check them off.  Here’s my Fall bucket list ❤

Pinterest Outfit Ideas & Inspirations

I love looking at Pinterest to help me decide what new items I want to buy or give me ideas on how I should repurpose some older items in my closet.  Here ares one of my favorite looks that can transition from summer to fall and be my new fall staples.

Coachella 2013

I’ve always wanted to go to Coachella and this is what I imagine I’d be wearing ❤  Accessorized with a big floppy hat and retro sunglasses.

Weekend Recap and Photodump

Last week was probably one of the most stressful weeks I’ve had in a LONG time.  Not only was it the first week of school, but it was filled with meetings, receptions and MUCH more.  *sigh *  I’m surprised I didn’t guzzle bottles of wine each night.

The weekend was…well…a wide range of lazy and super stressful.  LOL

Friday~ stayed home all alone and recovered from a stressful week.  Got a consultation about my unicorn and well…I’ll be unicorn free in December (more details another time).

Watched Broke Down Palace, have you seen it?  not bad…

Saturday~ last minute brunch with the Byons, Paks, and soon to be Kims.  YES…I was the 7th wheel!  We ate at Oak Tree Inn, which is HANDS DOWN the best Chinese restaurant in the area.  LOVE the BBQ Beef and the Pork chops.

Hit up Target and did some major damage with Halloween Decor/candy + Makeup =D

Saturday Night…crajjjy fun, don’t remember, can’t believe I drank so much, Ramen gone in seconds…kind of fun!

Sunday…quite the drama.  Because of CICLAVIA not only was my car towed (WTF), but we were stranded in the pak-a-punch apartment.  After much distress, stress, and food…the afternoon and evening actually turned out OK.  I ended the weekend by making 6 Minnie Mouse tutus and PASSED THE EFF out at 1am.

For Dinner, Italian Chop Salad + Matzo Ball Soup for Dinner =P YUMM

Now…today is Monday =(  I’m so not ready for this work week.

Weekend Recap

This past weekend was INCREDIBLE.  I had absolutely NO plans and it was glorious.  I had originally saved it to help Markel’s parents move, bu tI wasn’t needed so I took FULL advantage.  Slept a lot, read magazines, did 7 loads of laundry, and just spent a lot of time alone.  LOVED IT.  After my crazy week at school, I really needed the peace and quiet.  Over the weekend I ate a lot of good food, but didn’t see another person I knew until Sunday Night when Markel and I had date night on Sawtelle.

Since I don’t have pics from the weekend (*gasp*), here are some cute pics of random things~

Freshman Orientation

On Monday, I looked outside my office window and saw this chaotic mass known as “freshman orientation”.  Every year I go down and collect all the free samples that the campus gives out to “welcome” its incoming class.  I like to believe that I’m young enough where I can pass for a wide-eyed, 18-year-old student.

This was the best booty I could have gotten!!  I’m sad I only had 2 hands tho…my coworker and I couldn’t carry any more stuff, so this had to do.

Wow…can’t believe Fall 2012 is already here.  Class hasn’t event started and I want to die from the overload of emails, interruptions and lack of long lunches.  *sigh *

Until next June!

Weekend Recap and Photodump

This weekend was so much fun!  It wasn’t AS packed as my other weekends, and I loved spending time outside in the sun ❤

Friday:  I was super sick in the morning which was a huge bummer since the evening festivities had been something I had been looking forward to for a LONG time =(  Girl’s Wine Night with the Theme: we aren’t preggers!  So we all had soft cheeses, sushi, fish, wine, Caesar salad, deli meats…and the list continues~  But in any case, it was a great night of gabbing with the ladies ❤

Saturday:  Random day of fun with Markel in Brea and Fullerton and then Ejo’s Birthday!

Sunday: Church, Nursery, El Salvadorian Parade, Pho in Ktown, then watched football and ate some random things with Markel

Some random photos of last week:

And…now it’s the first week of the quarter.  Monday, the first day of the quarter was cray!!  This is the view of freshman from my office window.

Weekend Recap and Photodump

Friday: Housewarming At Evan and Sarah’s + Hip Kitty

Markel got into a car accident Friday =(  So I gave him this “chung shim won” medicine that helps calm the body and de-stress.  Tastes AWFUL but I swear it works!

Saturday was a day of randomness, so here’s a photodump.  We also went to a wine store with tons of alcohol and found TONS of really cool things~~

Saturday Night was Rexy’s DIRRRRTY 30!

Sunday: Bagel run, 5-year anniv church service, errands, Football and Korean Tacos!

oh YaAYyy…football is FOUR hours you say?  wonderful…

Monday: Dinner at Kobawoo with my coworkers ❤

Dave’s Dirty 30

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!  Can’t believe you turned 30 yesterday… The past 16 years of friendship have literally FLOWN and I’m proud to call you an “old man”.  LOL

We threw a small surprise dinner at the Lobster last night and then went out for Pinkberry after.  The perfect night to celebrate Dave’s dirrty 30 =)

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively get Married!!

WOW…this was the LAST news i ever expected to hear this past weekend.  After Ryan’s failed engagement to Alanis Morissette, Failed married to Scarlett Johansson, I genuinely expected that Ryan would slow things down.  However, I genuinely love each of these actors and for that, I hope that they’ll have the best marriage, make beautiful babies and have a long marriage.

Congratulations Ryan and Blake!

More Details from UsWeekly:

Lovebirds Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds tied the knot in a surprise, ultra-private ceremony at at Boone Hill Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina Sunday, a source confirms to Us Weekly.

The couple, for the most part, managed to keep their plans under wraps until this weekend, when members of Lively’s family were spotted around Charleston. Her close pal — and favorite shoe designer — Christian Louboutin also happened to be in the Southern city. “Spotted: @LouboutinWorld in Charleston! Welcomes to the city!” a user by the name of @TheJoshRatliff wrote. (Lively, for her part, told Marie Claire in June that the couture she’s been exposed to in Hollywood has dramatically changed her wedding style plans. “What I planned before I got into the business has changed,” she shared. “Now I’m like, ‘Hmm, I wonder what shoes Christian [Louboutin] is going to make me. And which couture houses should I go to?”) Reynolds and Lively have also traveled back and forth to Charleston several times this past year, adding to speculation that it might be a potential wedding spot.

Though they’ve only been together a year — they met while filming 2011’s The Green Lantern — Lively, 25, and Reynolds, 35, got serious quickly. When they first took their friendship to the next level in Fall 2011, the couple began splitting their weekends between NYC, where Lively was filming Gossip Girl, and Boston, where Reynolds was busy shooting R.I.P.D.

Just six months into their romance, the duo began house hunting together, and ended up purchasing a property in Westchester County, just north of New York City.

“They love getting out of the city and appreciate a slower pace [of life],” a source told Us Weekly at the time of the low-key couple’s decision to relocate.

Fun Surprises This Week!

What a great post-labor day week!  I received 2 unexpected surprises that really cheered up my days~

Flowers from a graduating MA student to say “Thank You”.  He was seriously one of my faaaves so if he decides to finish his PHD here, there’d be no complaints from me!  This is the first time I’ve ever received flowers so I’m actually making the effort to keep them alive.  (I tend to kill everything within 48 hours.  It’ll be a miracle if these babies survive the weekend)

My oldest and dearest friend sent me a care package from Korea!  Each item was so thoughtful and unique to me (esp the big floppy hat!).  LOVE you eunnie!!

and now…I can stop thinking about my weekend to be in Vegas!  The ladies and I fly out first thing tomorrow morning for a packed day of drinking, pool, drinking, tanning, drinking, fancy shmancy dinner, drinking, dancing, and then late night eats ❤  teehee~~

Happy Friday everyone!! xoxo

Dahlias and Ikea

Aren’t these the prettiest flowers ever???  I got the Ikea vases for 79 cents each and the Dahlias were left over flowers from a wedding I went to this past weekend.  I love how these single flowers make such a big difference on my dining table.  They make the room super cheerful ❤

Blue and White Mopehead

How adorable is this mopehead??  I saw this outside of Ralphs on Saturday and ALMOST took a pic of myself on it.  LOL  LOVE this adorable bike.  Now…If only I had the guts to get one and ride it!

New Camera has Arrived! xo

I’m so excited for my new camera arrival!!  Now…I’m really not tech savvy but hopefully this will work out and my new pics will be FAAAB~~

Turning Over a New Leaf: Samsung DV300F Dual View Smart Camera – Black (EC-DV300FBPBUS)

I did it!!  *deep breath *

I bought a new camera!!  So cray… cray because I have been using a BEAT UP, pathetic camera with screen issues.  It’s to the point where when I ask people if they’ll take a pic for me, they touch it like they’ll get a disease from it as they wrinkle their noses and snap the photo as quickly as possible.  *tear *

Well old Canon SD 870…rest in peace.  A NEW baby has been born and the stork is delivering it on Tuesday! =)

I hope that this will help take much better, clearer photos with intense color AND that it’ll take great photos in low light.  Another AMAZZZING 2 features that were the selling points??  It’s wi-fi ready and there’s a small screen in front so you can take pics of yourself with friends!

LOVE LOVE LOVE.  Hopefully I’ll love it even more when I receive it and you’ll see much better pictures moving forward. ❤

Weekend Recap and Photodump

This past weekend was a rare one for me.  I had ABSOLUTELY no plans!!

Saturday Morning, Markel and I rode our bikes to Santa Monica and Venice beach.  It was SO MUCH FUN.  I haven’t done anything like this ever, so it was refreshing to do something new and spend the entire day sunbathing, eating, and relaxing on the beach =)

For Dinner we were exhausted and in the mood for something sinfully delicious~

Sunday was another great lazy day~~  Church, downtown LA for etsy supplies, 5 loads of laundry and a Boardwalk Empire Marathon before season 3 begins!

Lunch in ktown

Downtown LA

I’ve been craving Lentil Soup for a while now~ and Markel made some for dinner last night =)  YUMMAYYY

Boardwalk Empire~ SUCH an amazing show!

Heart-Shaped Sunnies from Target

LOVE LOVE LOVE my new heart-shaped sunnies!!  I got them from Target (here) and haven’t had a chance to wear them until Yesterday.  These glasses are girlie, fun, silly and perfect for the rest of the summer at the beach!  xoxo

I’ve been making veils for bacherettes/bridal showers for almost a year now and it’s been incredibly fun.  This entire time, I’ve managed to make 1 style~

But lately I’ve been thinking of expanding my veils from 1 to 3 or 4 different varieties.  Here are some samples of things I’ve been looking out from online~~what do you think?

London Olympics 2012: Highlights and Fashion

I’m OBSESSED with watching the Olympics right now.  Everything about the competition and the incredible physical talents of the athletes blows my socks off!  Here are some highlights of the Olympics so far and some fun inspirational clothing items I’m tempted to buy for this series and for future “USA” events/holidays.
