EsQuisite Designs: New Ombre Heart

I own two etsy stores and one of them (EsQuisite Designs) makes wine cork hearts, letters, veils, etc.  The Ombre Heart is a new design that I came up with a while back and it has been FLYING off the shelves! =)

This past weekend was incredibly fun and full of great times. ❤  My girlfriends and I took a big end of summer trip to San Diego and it was a much needed.

We drove down on Saturday morning (bright and early)~~~ We each brought a ridiculous amount of clothes/shoes for our 1 night trip.  LOL  oh ladies…

I ❤ startbucks.  Love it more than coffee bean~~ This trip I tried something new: Venti Coffee with 3 pumps of classic syrup.  It was tastey!

Weekend Recap & Photodump: Santa Barbara/Los Olivos

Last weekend, my small group and I went to Santa Barbara for the weekend (Los Olivos to be exact) and it was one of the most fun weekends away that I’ve had this year!

We rented a house in the middle of town (because it was close to the vineyards) and it turned out to be a great find!  Los Olivos was having a big art fair on Saturday and we were literally a block from all the tasting rooms/restaurants.  xo

As a group we ate a lot, played a bunch of games and drank a ridiculous amount of wine.  It was the perfect weekend of bonding and learning new vocabulary like Rachet. =P

Here’s a photodump of our weekend.

Our last meal together was at Soup Plantation.  I love that place.  Markel had never been there before so it was fun to introduce him to all my favorite things.

AND…the great news of a late weekend recap post is… It’s already FRIDAY!!  WAHOO.  I can’t wait for this weekend~~ xoxo

Happy Friday Everyone!

Weekend Recap and Photodump

This past weekend was  BLAST!!  I went glamping with 2 of my besties and we explored San Francisco a bit on Sunday. =)

Friday I flew out to the San Jose airport and they picked me up along their way to the campsite near Santa Cruz.

imageimage

When we got to the campsite, it was SOO nice!  It was called Constanoa~ and you had the option of staying in a hotel, fancy cabin, tent-cabin hybrid (which we did), bring your own tent, or bring your own RV.  The campsite was split into different areas and it was REALLY fun to have a weekend away from city life.  There was absolutely no cell phone reception, but luckily there was wifi!  Not quite “roughing-it”… =)

*Important things first…we set up our snack table!

image

image

image

For the first part of Saturday we made breakfast, hiked for a few hours, napped, and relaxed in our tent.

image

In the evening, we ate at this bomb restaurant (on the camp site) and then tried about 6 times to start a fire.  It took 2 of our neighbors to help us get it going >.<  Next time we’ll know how to start a fire for SURE!  lol

Sunday…was a day of eating.  And that’s about it… lol

Girls Night: Wine Tasting

Last Week, my coworkers and I got together and did a wine tasting.  we compared high end and low end red & white wines in between dinner and dessert at one of the girl’s homes.  This was seriously one of the most fun nights in a LONG time.  We just relaxed, talked about life/work, and got to let loose on a weekend.  We had a big sleepover and well…mine didn’t end so pretty.  BUT, I still think it was the nicest and most fun nights!

Weekend Recap and Photodump

Alas…I’m super late on my weekend updates (again).  Here’s a recap from nov 16-18. =)

This weekend was incredibly relaxing.  I spent Friday night and all day Saturday hanging out alone and catching up on R&R.

An interesting tip from Cosmo (oct ’12 issue).  For ever alcoholic drink, drink 2 glasses of water after so you don’t get a wicked hangover.

image

uh oh…did not follow that rule this weekend…

Temecula Wine Tasting with the Blairs! <3

I’m SOOOO excited!  Today, the Blairs and I are going wine tasting in Temecula together.  I LOVE everything about this trip~~  eating lunch outside at a winery, getting to try new delicious wine bottles, and spending time with Markel, Mama and Papa Blair.  This weekend there is a Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival going on~ not sure if we’re going to go to that, but wine tasting and a gorgeous lunch outside are definitely on our check-list!  Today, I leave you with some fun pics I found online to show you what I’ll be doing this weekend ❤

EsQuisite Designs on Etsy

I started the EsQuisite Designs etsy shop about a year ago (my second shop) and it’s been quite a difference!  The items are larger and easier to make and I like that I get to do some of them with Markel.

These wine cork projects below have been our pet project/collaboration in recent months and it’s really been a blast!    We have been working together to collect the corks, create the letters, and make a gorgeous layout.    Markel is really the mastermind behind these and I’m nothing but a “gluer”.  lol   We’ve been getting feedback on the items that customers have received and it’s seriously been such a high!  They’ve loved the letters and the designs and have used it for their weddings and homes.

All the rad comments/notes have been so amazing!  I swear it brings us closer together as a couple and makes me excited to think that we have a lifetime ahead of collaboration~ if these little things can be so rewarding, can you imagine what bigger things are in store?

And a plus side???  I get to drink all the wine I want without judgement.  LOL  I mean…It’s a business expense right?  haha

Happy Monday Ya’ll!  If you have any thoughts about the letters, I’d love to hear from you!
