Staff Development Day

Once a year, UCLA throws a huge Staff Development Day on the lawn outside my building.  about 100,000 employees gather and have lunch together, picnic on the grass, listen to music and just get… well appreciated. =P

My coworkers and I spent an amazing 2-hour lunch together just catching up & enjoying the summer day.  xoxo  It’s always awesome to see so many familiar faces on campus eating, dancing (with the live music) and unwinding on a picnic blanket. ❤

Weekend Recap and Photodump

This week I didn’t really take very many pictures because Mama and Papa Blair moved!  Markel and I helped move and we spent a fun weekend in beautiful Beaumont.  The weather was rainy and cold~ but it was nice to spend a weekend together (siblings, nephews, niece, and all).  Here are my sporadic bursts of photos…

Friday was a surprise Birthday Party for Mike’s friend.  We didn’t last past the pre-party (we had to wake-up early to move), but it was FUNNNNNNNNNNNN.

AWESOME GIFT right???  My fab roommie bought them for me!  They’re silicone gloves to touch hot things in the kitchen ❤

Thanksgiving and Black Friday 2012

I have to say…Thanksgiving is one of the few holidays I can’t get enough of.  I know for most it’s Christmas~ but I feel like since this is the first fall holiday, it really brings your family together after a summer of vacations and busy-ness.  This year (like last year), I spent it with the Blair family.

My day was pretty cray as I visited  a friend for coffee, spent time with my grandma in her nursing home, and then feasted like a starved child the rest of the day/evening.

Thanksgiving Eve…I celebrated all day with wine, tequila, and awesome food.  Two wine nights in 1 day?  I love it.

Weekend Recap and Photodump

Alas…I’m super late on my weekend updates (again).  Here’s a recap from nov 16-18. =)

This weekend was incredibly relaxing.  I spent Friday night and all day Saturday hanging out alone and catching up on R&R.

An interesting tip from Cosmo (oct ’12 issue).  For ever alcoholic drink, drink 2 glasses of water after so you don’t get a wicked hangover.
