Christmas with the Blairs
For the past couple of years, the Blairs have been celebrating Christmas at Markel’s Big Bro’s home in West Covina. It’s a big brunch and morning where we open presents, hang out and spend time together. =) Markel has a huge family and I absolutely love how loud and full of energy the home gets! Four generations all under 1 roof. ❤
Our breakfast table =)
Opening Presents! I was so busy opening mine I forgot to take more pictures. LOL
Lucy got presents too!! Grandma Blair and I made her doggie bowls. ❤ They are as big as her, but she absolutely loves them!
The gorgeous tree!
Such a wonderful day to celebrate with the Blairs. =)
Afterwards Markel and I saw ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ with the Kims (our neighbors). That movie was a lot better than ‘Her’ in my opinion… I totally recommend seeing it! Leonard DiCaprio gives an awesome performance.
Christmas Eve
This was the first Christmas Markel and I spent together as Husband and Wife + the first year we weren’t with Family for Christmas Eve. Sooo, we made up our OWN tradition! We decided to have sushi for dinner and invited over our close friends who also live in our building. The four of us feasted on delicious food, drank a little Champs to celebrate and then went to see Her in theatres. It was such a lovely and low key evening, I can’t wait to make it a continuous tradition for us as we begin this amazing journey as Husband and Wife.
xo Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas!
Holiday Nails
Today is my last day of work until January 6th! LOVE working at UCLA!! =) Here are some fun holiday nail ideas for Christmas and NYE! =)
A Musical Note, Pinata and Party
We had a big 30th birthday bash for my boss last week and the decorations came out…PERFECTLY. My other coworker did 99% of the decorations around the music note theme (she works in that department)~ and it made me want to copy it for another party!!
Here are the decorations below~~ the creme flags in the middle are a music sheet pattern. SO CUTE. The entire party was a white/black/cream color theme.
My bad pinwheels on the tables with catering from Fundamental in Westwood (SUCH GREAT FOOD).
Isn’t this sign so adorable?? The letters are made of a music sheet pattern and the little notes on the side add the perfect touch. ❤
This was LITERALLY the only thing I contributed too. Hanging notes and pinwheels. I wouldn’t say these were “cute” or “crafty”…they just sorta added to the music theme that my talented coworker put together.
AND the FINALE~~~A MUSIC NOTE PINATA!!! How incredibly adorable is this??? My coworker MADE IT from scratch!!!! She put the pinata on top of music sheets that had the birthday song printed on it. SO CLEVER, CRAFTY and freaking amazing. She also made the little name sign on top of the cake. ❤
We always try to celebrate each other at work whether it’s a birthday, a celebration, or a great life moment. I love my job and the creative/loving team I work with. This party is just one example of what we do for each other. ❤
Purses, Purses, Purses
I have purses on the brain!! I want a big one for my 30th birthday but I’m not sure what I want the next one to be… Here are some I’m lusting after…
Halloween–Hello Kitty Pumpkin
How adorable is this??? I love this idea of painting pumpkins into hello kitty ❤
Hawaii (Part V)
On our last full day of the trip~ my brother, his wife, Markel and I all dedicated it to a day of fun with Mama Chang. It was her 60th birthday (which is HUGE in Korean Culture) and well…it was the first time in a long time we had been together.
we went paddle boarding in the morning, ate at waiola’s, had a huge lunch, and then went to a dinner cruise to top off the night ❤
My mom is the best cook EVERRRRRRRR. Below is a spicy udon dish.
I LOVE WAIOLA SHAVED ICE
My Mama ❤
Happy Birthday Mama Chang!! xoxo
For her birthday, we all dressed up in Hawaiian gear, flowers, lei’s, and then spent the day with her. Papa Chang was stuck in Korea on business so she got all the attention and love from 4 kids ❤
Free Mai Tai‘s and a dinner buffet
matching!
my brother… nuff said. He likes to take these kinds of pictures ALL THE TIME. Even my professional wedding photos came back with one of these… *sigh *
“Son in law” soup. Although it’s not really called that…Korean mom’s give a hearty soup to their son in laws. My mama always makes this one for Markel when he comes over. SO DELIC.
(if you’ve never had it, takes like chicken noodle soup, but with just Cornish hen + you add rice)
And that’s how we ended our 10-day trip to Hawaii… Writing these posts makes me want to go back ASAP. Especially to Maui. That was hands down the best trip Markel and I have ever been on!
Happy Memorial Day from Etsy!

Weekend Recap and Update
Markel and I had a really big and busy weekend. We hosted guests to our new place for the first time. It was filled with lots of loved ones, fun, good food, and drinks! ❤
Friday Night, we hosted a thank you dinner for some of the people who helped at the Wedding. (second diner party to come soon!) We ate delicious chicken enchiladas, chicken tortilla soup, sangria, beer…and dessert that no one got to eat =(
We attempted to play a game, but the girls rocked the boys so fast that…well…it wasn’t fair to finish. hehe
Saturday, my new parents (MIL, FIL) came over and we hung out and watched a movie. It was fun being able to host in our new place ❤
Sushi lunch date my my new mama
Sunday, we hosted Mother’s Day Brunch for Markel’s whole family and even did a quick happy birthday song for him.
I even got to paint a few fingers and toes ❤

THINK PINK: Happy Valentine’s Day!
Man, this year V-day really snuck up on me. I’m usually prepared with plans but this year…nada. Work has been REALLY crazy, my the wedding planning…blah. So every spare moment I get I usually try to sleep or watch a show that I have in my crazy DVR cue.
Anyway, Valentine’s Day (for me) is a day of all pink, girlie everything, and all adorable things. Here is a fun picture collage (photodump really) of things I found online =) (mainly pinterest)
Valentine’s Gifts/Decor from Etsy
How adorable are these valentine’s day decorations?? Etsy has such creative items~~ xo
Superbowl Weekend Update and Photodump
This past weekend was…pretty epic. Not only did I eat and drink like a champion, but it was the first weekend in a while where I wasn’t super stressed about wedding planning. Markel and I relaxed, hung out with family/friends, and just…enjoyed all things Super Bowl!
Friday
Admissions… =T nuff said
Markel and I vegged out in front of the TV and indulged in Mexican food from Taco Plus in West Los Angeles. We both had intense weeks and we really needed a break.
Saturday
We hosted a dinner party for Markel’s Bro and sis-in-law. I made all the Korean food that I had been craving =P
Sunday
Church and then…all things Super Bowl!! Although my team didn’t win (next time 49ers…I’m still #faithful), it was really fun watching the game on an 80inch TV and taking shots to just about EVERYTHING. Beyonce? Shot Kickoff? Shot Blackout? Shot Timeout? Shot!! …you get the idea…
Sad we lost =(

Adorable Valentine’s Ideas
Can you believe it’s almost the end of January? CRAZYYY. I’m excited for V-Day which is seriously around the corner ❤
Wedding Save The Date: Party Rockin’
After a few months of research and brain storming…Markel and I have created and sent our Save the Dates! We had really grandiose plans of taking it at the beach, in the snow, or even doing a super glam shoot. In the end? We took a random picture on New Year’s Eve in a semi-intoxicated state. =P But how gorgeous did this photo turn out?? And the balloons, GENIUS right?? HAHA They were part of our room decorations that I “borrowed”.
Oh, and the BEST part of this pic below? It was completely edited (text and all) with my cell phone (Samsung Galaxy 3S). LOL
Markel and I have had such an amazing year and journey together. I can’t wait to venture into this new year, new life, and new marriage with my Best Friend!! ❤ I can’t believe it, but our wedding is in 108 days!! eeeeeep! xoxoxo
Weekend recap and Photodump
Of course…I’m late on my updates again. This past weekend was really uneventful. I had a minor surgery so I rested over the weekend and watched an insane amount of netflix. I took an extra week off work before my 1.5 holiday break and it’s been incredibly relaxing. xoxo I’m all healed now so I”ll be most definitely celebrating this weekend with 2 holiday parties! Can’t wait!! One is a heaven/hell theme and the other is a neon party (in lieu of an ugly sweater theme) with a white elephant gift exchange!
Christmas is only 4 days away. CAN’T WAIIIIT!!!
Christmas Tree is finally up!
2012 Halloween Costume Ideas
This year, I am extra excited about Halloween. My only problem? I have no idea what I’m going to dress up as! I love going out on Fridays AND Saturdays, so I’ll need two costumes =P Here are some fun ideas I found online… to help inspire both me and you!
